Background and History:

Dusty Dog Brewing was founded on March 28, 1997, in an apartment on the south side of Ann Arbor. Two batches were brewed at that location, the Witches' Brew and Doggy-Style -- both from kits. In late May 1997, the brewery was relocated to the Hunt Club apartment complex. At that location, a great awakening in brewing occurred as I improved my process and tried some more complicated batches, eventually moving to all-grain brewing. Jodi's Wedding Day Brown Ale, Ypsilanti Motor Oil Stout, Jodi's Gourmet Brown Ale, Christmas Stout, Whitetail Pale Ale, Stock Ale starring Kevin and Paul, and the Olympic Mead were all brewed at that location. In April of 1999, we relocated to Milan, Michigan where we have MUCH more room, and plenty of storage space (my basement is like a German Cave!).  With the addition of a beer fridge in the garage, I have draft homebrew available whenever possible.

Recent News:

Check out my brew day page.
It describes in some detail what I do to produce a batch of beer. For now it is not in layman's terms, because I wanted to just get the information down. Eventually, perhaps I'll create an English version.
